“You did NOT come into this world. You came out of it, like a wave from the ocean. You are not a stranger here.”

- Alan w. Watts

Welcome to Terra Soma

We curate immersive nature-based experiences and programs designed to help you disconnect from the daily grind and connect back to nature. Through a sensory exploration of the natural world, we guide you in the art of slowing down, embracing rest, and igniting your innate creativity and moving from doing to simply being.

We collaborate with groups, individuals, and organisations to explore accessible and regenerative nature-based practices that can enhance your mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

what is nature connection?

A practice of nature connection involves engaging with the natural world in an intentional and mindful way. A feeling of 'connectedness' can be compared to the emotional bond and reciprocal exchange of emotions we share with a dear friend. When we tune into our senses and appreciate nature's beauty, we can cultivate this profound and meaningful understanding of the world outside ourselves.

The Terra Soma approach is desgined to help you cultivate a nature connection practice that embeds ritual within your daily life and remains sustainable over time. Using science-backed methods from mindfulness, nature therapy and creative practices we explore simple tools that can create meaningful change.

Why Practice Nature Connection?

It can be difficult to describe the pround impact of a regular practice of nature connection because it transcends verbal description and is intensely personal. However, the area of nature connection has attracted decades of research demonstrating many quantifiable physical and mental health benefits. From lowered stress hormones, balanced blood pressure, and reduced nervous system arousal to feelings of awe, calm, and connection.

Connecting with nature, much like meditation, is a contemplative practice. While a walk in the park is beneficial, a deep nature connection practice is about slowing down and being in the present moment. Instead of grappling with restlessness or getting caught up in our thoughts, natural surroundings promote an integration of mind, body, and spirit.
